      NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.

      Property Valuation and Tax Mapping is responsible for valuing more than one million properties in the city and overseeing assessments and valuations in a fair and equitable manner. The valuations enable the efficient and effective collection of property tax revenues for New York City.

      The Division is seeking an individual for the Property Valuation & Tax Mapping's Executive Office who will perform a variety of executive, administrative, and personnel-related responsibilities. The selected candidate will report to the senior administrative staff of the Executive Office.

      Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

      - Support the Deputy Commissioner and provide additional support to executive team members as directed.
      - Ensure that division goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently.
      - Provide high-level general administrative support for the day-to-day functions of the Executive Office.
      - Answer phones, manage executive's calendars, schedule meetings, compile weekly reports, monthly newsletters, presentations and other-format documents, using experience and judgment to decide what should be included in each document. Including out-of-town travel, compiling expense reports, and staff reimbursement forms.
      - Support recruitment and hiring processes for Property Valuation & Tax Mapping Office. May assist with the division's PS and procurement budget.
      - Prioritize and produce high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization.
      - Schedule conference rooms and collaborate with external units to schedule in-person and online meetings.
      - Assist customers with property valuations issues, via telephone, email and/or in-person.
      - Review, track and assign all incoming mail and other written materials. Process and direct mail and incoming packages or deliveries to correct parties.
      - Manage and track the supply needs using the PASSPort system.
      - Serve as a point of contact for property staff and assist with resolving time & leave issues, including other NYC departments.
      - Serve as a contact person for administrative issues regarding IT software, devices, and facility issues, coordinate repairs.
      - Provide information by answering questions and requests. Filter, log and follow up with external departments on the status, and completion of Taxpayer inquiries.
      - Maintain comprehensive filing system; maintain accurate departmental records to ensure the integrity of the information.
      - Support the Property Executive Office with assigned special projects and complete other tasks, as necessary.

      Qualifications

      1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
      2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
      3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
      4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
