Job Description

- Six weeks (30 days) of paid annual leave per year + additional paid Christmas stand down

- Overseeing and triaging team communications, ensuring efficient information flow and maintenance of team documentation and records;
- Supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of ongoing leadership initiatives;
- Coordinating AFP participation in external leadership programs with partner agencies;
- Undertaking procurement activities including contract administration and coordinating invoice payment;
- Managing administration of the Core Leadership Continuum modules, course selection and withdrawals;
- Providing logistical support for internally facilitated leadership programs including venue, catering and travel bookings and supporting the preparation of course materials.
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
- A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.

What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Administrative Support Officer in the AFP Leadership Centre.
The Leadership Centre is responsible for providing advice on leadership development available to the workforce, managing a number of leadership initiatives and services, and providing strategic input with relevant stakeholders on leadership development across all career streams. Since the establishment of the AFP Leadership Centre in 2018, we have been focussed on developing individuals, teams and organisational leadership across the AFP.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Team Leader and senior team members, providing strong administrative support to ensure a high standard of service delivery across a range of the AFP's flagship leadership programs and development initiatives. As an Administrative Support Officer, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and take a collaborative approach to achieving team outcomes, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who is able to organise their work and demonstrate good-judgement and decision making to ensure the planning and coordination of all deliverables are achieved within agreed timeframes and budget constraints.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
