Summary
Responsible for learning the necessary competencies to become a successful leader and obtain licensure to transition to a site Administrator.Job Description
Develops skills and obtain knowledge in managing resident services. Works on complex administrative matters where analysis of issues, data and process require advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry knowledge. Proactively communicates necessary changes, issues and concerns to families an staff. Responds to resident needs and assures they are being met by others. Assigns responsibility for daily management of infection prevention and control activities. Responsible for ensuring a quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) program is available. Ensures documentation and reports and completed as required by regulations and procedure. The Administrator in Training is the Compliance Liaison of the facility, with a responsibility to support the Chief Compliance Officer in carrying out the Compliance Program.
Assists in managing the operations of location, including nursing, human resources, budget and finance and legal, short and long term strategic planning and regulatory compliance. Guides others by creating and maintaining a culture of trust and engagement. Meets the needs of the location by being adaptable to feedback and ongoing change. Leads self by taking initiative, displaying a strong work ethic and dedication to personal development.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in health care administration.
Work experience in a long term care setting desired.
