- Degree, diploma, in business, commerce, procurement and contract management learning and development, risk management or law, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience analyzing complex procurement issues, evaluating options and recommending solutions.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in the full procurement life cycle (including planning and acquiring goods and/or services to achieve business objectives).
- Experience in drafting tender solicitation documents for complex procurements that may be considered high profile, high risk, high dollar value and/or politically sensitive.
- Experience in public procurement policy and Government procurement practices.
- With professional accreditation such as the PMP and/or SCMP designations or those that have completed some or all courses of the BC Government’s Procurement and Contract Management Program (PCMP).

THE BRANCH:
The Procurement Services Branch is the corporate procurement service for the British Columbia’s provincial government ministries and public sector agencies. The branch provides strategy, navigation, innovation and support to clients to ensure government procurement is conducted properly and fairly while ensuring transparency and quality.
THE ROLE:
The procurement specialist manages the procurement lifecycle for simple to complex procurement projects that may be considered high profile, high risk, high dollar value and/or politically sensitive.
