What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and process purchase-related requests and manage budget-related tasks
- Ensure compliance with state and agency policies for purchasing
- Utilize procurement and financial systems for requisition management
- Analyze invoices for timely payments and assist in maintaining accurate billing
- Contribute to team management of standard work processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in relevant fields such as personnel, budget analysis, or purchasing
- Knowledge of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with state procurement codes and financial management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite/Workplace applications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate of Science Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience in a government or public agency environment
- Understanding of Arizona Revised Statutes related to finances
- Knowledge of LEAN concepts and principles for process improvement
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
