Job Description

- Perform instructional in-class support activities with Language E P (bilingual and ESL) students with individualized and small group instructional support in small groups as directed by the classroom co-teachers and the ESL teacher
- Provide vocabulary support to English language learner in the general education classroom setting
- Assist in administering assessments for the identification and program monitoring of English language learners
- Assist in supervision of students
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required while maintaining confidentiality of student information.
- Attend meetings and district trainings as required
- None
- Minimum of 48 college hours Or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge
- Texas Educational aid Certification
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English and Spanish
- Strong interpersonal skills
Job Overview
The Aide Bilingual will assist the classroom co-teachers in performing a variety of instructional tasks to support bilingual students. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the ESL teacher, building administrator, and appropriate supervisor.Position Description

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties.
