What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Sell a variety of travel options including domestic and international air travel
- Manage inbound and outbound participant calls and create preliminary itineraries
- Resolve flight changes during events such as weather disruptions or airline strikes
- Educate customers on additional services and promote competitive upgrade offers
- Ensure customer satisfaction by making sound business decisions and fostering relationships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree preferred or comparable experience
- 1-2 years of experience with air travel preferred
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and persuasion skills
- Strong CRM and computer skills, with the capacity to learn new systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Demonstrated sales and customer service skills, including negotiation and closing capabilities
- Experience with airline negotiated fares
- Strong team contributor with a results-driven attitude
- Familiarity with Amadeus or airline GDS systems
- Solid written and oral communication skills
