      T he Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Statewide Aviation, is looking for an Airport Leasing Specialist 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!


      What You Will Be Doing:
      In this position, you will provide the Chief of Leasing and four (4) Airport Leasing Specialists support in managing land and leasing matters at selected rural airports, to include drafting a variety of different types of legally binding contracts, writing letters, preparing bid documents, and public notices. This position will also provide a variety of specialized clerical work to include verifying Airport Layout Plans and Land Occupancy drawings, finalizing legal documents and correspondence, managing travel, purchasing and other administrative tasks that keep the office running. This position will also support the Division Administrative Officer and other administrative staff of the Division.

      The working environment you can expect:

      The office is located within the DOT&PF complex at 2301 Peger Road in Fairbanks, AK. The office is made up of a seven member team committed to providing exceptional service to tenants and customers at rural airports in northern Alaska. The office itself holds regular hours, however, there is some flexibility in order to accommodate those who need to work outside of typical hours in order to maintain a good work-life balance. The Leasing Chief will coordinate all scheduling with the selected candidate.

      AIRPORT SECURITY BADGE

      Candidates for this position must be eligible for an airport identification badge in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations (49 CFR 1542) which requires fingerprinting and a criminal background check. The successful applicant must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history record check as well as a comprehensive background investigation, along with a Transportation Security Administration Security Threat Assessment.
