      Summary:

      The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations at the airport, including the direct supervision of Airport Supervisors, Line Service Technicians and Attendants.This position will enforce the standard operating procedures and quality job standards to ensure an optimal customer experience, and maintain all ground service equipment’s appearance and service schedules.


      Operations Manager will also work as a support position for the Airport Director; by drafting reports, compiling data, and suggesting changes to policy/procedures that will help to increase efficiency and/or provide members with a better airport experience.This person should attend a Shell HAZMAT Certification seminar and this position may require additional traveling to seminars, manufacturing facilities and other locations/events designated by the Airport Director.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      In addition to the following duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:

      • Strong working knowledge of all duties and responsibilities required of airport staff on duty.

      • Capacity to perform all airport operations with proficiency.

      • Prepares an equitable and functional staff schedule according to workload forecasts and budget restraints.

      • Noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud.

      • Must be able to work weekends, nights, Holiday’s and be flexible to schedule changes according to workload demands.

      • Administer the Airport Operation Manual/S.O.P.’s, which pertains to emergency procedures, disabled aircraft removal, safety procedures and medical evacuation procedures.

      • Maintains associate training records and helps to implement staff training and development opportunities, with a focus on building an effective, cohesive operations team.

      • Oversee the repair and maintenance of departmental facilities.

      • Maintain accurate logs of departmental equipment and QC Trainings.

      • Prepares weekly budget projections and works to provide the Airport Director with an accurate budget for all operating expenses.

      • In conjunction with the Airport Director, assist to determine staffing levels, and if needed, interview and hire airport personnel.

      • Assist in creating a Marketing Plan that will grow the airport and conforms to the needs of the community.

      • Assist with providing accurate information to Club Communications.To include information published on the Club’s website and printed collateral.

      • Implement and coordinates special projects and events as needed.

      • Prepares reports and correspondence, compiling information and data for use by the Airport Director.

      • Monitors and reports airport facility needs and assists in the research prior to procurement of new equipment and supplies.

      • Completes accident/incident reports involving any departmental operations.

      • Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from members, guests, pilots and associates.

      • Enforcement of policies and procedures designed to protect the safety of airport users.

      • Keeps Airport Director informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as well as routine matters related to accountability through meetings and other correspondence.

      • Attends Club classes, training, conferences, workshops and meetings as necessary to maintain job knowledge and skills.

      • Monitors Club Survey results (Medallia or others), to monitor for member feedback trends.Applauding team members when appropriate, and implement improvement stages where needed.


      Qualifications:

      • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft performance, meteorology and flight procedures

      • Thorough knowledge of personnel, office and financial/budget management

      • Ability to coordinate a diverse range of assignments and carry out such assignments without supervision

      • Hold a United States of America Federal Communications Commission Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit and/or demonstrate the ability to utilize a VHF radio with proper radio terminology.

      • Possess current state drives license.

      • General resort/private club background.

      • Reception and billing computer skills.

      • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service skills.

      • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.


      Education and/or Experience:

      Degree from an accredited college or university required.Minimum four years experience in commercial aviation, both corporate and general aviation fields preferred.Two years experience at a managerial level or equivalent combination of training and experience.


      Language:

      In the English language, effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
