- Responsible for shipping operations – shipping dock, freezer, and any other designated areas
- Follow all procedures and policies related to loading/unloading trucks
- Ensure receiving area is always clean and orderly
- Provide guidance, direction, and training to shipping personnel
- Ability to calibrate thermometers
- Ensure pallets are in designated areas of freezer or production area following policies and procedures for product storage
- Work with other departments to ensure production needs are being met
- Follow all GMPs and ensure receiving personnel are following GMPs
- Work weekends as needed
- Conduct freezer inventory once a week
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to speak and write English
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read incoming tuck sheets and BOL
- Certified to operate motorized vehicles
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
- Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, smock, earplugs, gloves, handguards, safety glasses, (beard nets if applicable)
- Follow safety procedures related to operation of motorized vehicles
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
- Ability to work in environment 85ºF and above
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
- Lift up to 70 lbs. to include moving, lifting, pushing product
- Climb up and down ladders
- Stoop and reach overhead (bending & twisting)
