Job Description
- Req#: 5110769
- Plans daily lessons to meet the individual needs of all students and assists students needing additional support. Differentiates instruction to meet students' varying needs and interests, with a focus on personalized instruction.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and homework assignments. Communicates those objectives to students such that students are able to clearly communicate understanding of the objectives.
- Establishes and enforces classroom management and procedures for maintaining an effective learning environment.
- Confers with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students' behavioral, social/emotional, college and career, and academic targets/goals.
- Designs and implements formative and summative assessments to measure progress towards academic benchmarks and standards, and to identify gaps in learning. Uses data to refine curriculum, adjust instructional practices, and support student development and academic achievement.
- Plans intentionally with a focus on individualized student needs, and prepares in advance for class activities and assignments. Creates a supportive, positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.
- Participates in collaborative curriculum development with a focus on addressing student’s academic needs.
- Participates in collaborative program/school activities with colleagues, parents and students.
- Uses data to determine professional development activities specific to school and student needs, and participates as needed.
Requirements:
Appropriate level license/endorsements and successful completion of all background checks.
