Lead the design and implementation of complex messaging solutions using Amazon MQ (ActiveMQ) for various applications and services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Job Description/ Responsibilities
1. Senior (7 years’ experience) with a focus on Amazon MQ (ActiveMQ).
2. This role requires a deep expert in Amazon MQ and Apache ActiveMQ to design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable messaging solutions within AWS. The individual will be responsible for architecting robust messaging infrastructures, optimizing performance, ensuring security, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
3. Lead the design and implementation of complex messaging solutions using Amazon MQ (ActiveMQ) for various applications and services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
4. Analyze and optimize Amazon MQ broker performance, including message throughput, latency, and resource utilization, implementing best practices for message persistence, durable subscriptions, and memory management.
5. Integrate and configure Amazon MQ with other AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, ECS) and on-premises systems for hybrid cloud environments.
6. Develop and implement automation for Amazon MQ broker provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and alarming using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or custom scripts.
7. Keep abreast of the latest features and best practices for Amazon MQ, ActiveMQ, and related messaging technologies.
8. Proficiency in AWS services and infrastructure, particularly networking, security, and compute services.
9. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
10. Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g., Java, Python) for interacting with messaging systems and AWS APIs.
11. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, communications skills, including comfort interacting with internal management and external stakeholders.
