What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Practice pharmacy in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor patients in a specific unit/specialty service
- Develop, administer, and improve ambulatory pharmacy programs and services
- Initiate, adjust, and monitor drug therapy
- Document clinical interventions in the electronic health record
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required
- Registration as a Massachusetts Pharmacist required
- 1-3 years of related work experience required
- Completion of PGY1 accredited pharmacy residency or 3+ years of Clinical Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Must obtain one or more certifications within 18 months of hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pharmacy residency PGY2 specialty experience/fellowship or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of complex/chronic diseases states and therapies used within specialty pharmacy
- Understanding of insurance and adjudication processes
