What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide comprehensive clinical and distributive medication management services in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor patients in specialty services, collecting data and making therapeutic recommendations
- Develop and improve ambulatory pharmacy programs and services, including drug use evaluations and clinic management
- Document clinical interventions in the electronic health record in a professional manner
- Coordinate continuing education activities and precept pharmacy residents and students
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral degree in Pharmacy preferred
- Registration as a Massachusetts Pharmacist required
- 1-3 years of related work experience required
- Completion of PGY1 accredited pharmacy residency or 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Must obtain one or more certifications (CSP, BCPS, BCACP) within 18 months of hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pharmacy residency PGY2 specialty experience or equivalent experience or 5+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of complex/chronic disease states and therapies used within specialty pharmacy, such as Oncology, Infectious Disease, and more
