      Supervisory Responsibilities

      This position does not currently have any direct reports that they supervisor or manage.

      Position Summary

      This sales position is ideal for someone who likes the mix of office work and field work such as merchandising product and building relationships.
      Store Operations:
      Communicate the customer’s corporate direction to the customer’s operations teams from District/Market level down to store associate. Analyze and share sales data to provide guidance to stores and merchants directly with goal of increasing sales and profit performance.
      Metrolina Ambassador:
      Primary contact for customer operations personnel and build strong relationships with store operations from Associates, Store Leadership, District Managers, Regional Vice President, and Merchants. Conduct all facets of the kick-off meetings, store walks, divisional walks or store level coaching to achieve merchant vision.
      In-Store Merchandising:
      Increased focus during peak seasons, assist stores with merchandising, culling, planograms, seasonal display builds, and store execution but sales is expected to assist stores on a regular basis
      Conduit of Information to Metrolina Greenhouses:
      Provide Metrolina Greenhouses with daily intelligence from the field on product quality, store issues, replenishment needs etc. Our goal is to drive sales by improving our replenishment strategy, increasing turns, and improving profitability.

      Job Description

      • Primary store operations contact - communication of programs, changes, and face to face interaction from day to day to long term changes including daily customer service
      • Establish weekly cadence and deliver sales reporting, business updates, newsletters, and priorities both written and verbally
      • Primary Live Goods Expert to advise stores on proper execution of seasonal changes/availability of product, POG integrity, merchandising opportunities, signage, clearance, inventory accuracy, ad execution
      • Assist with coordinating and leading Kick-off Meetings & Customer Trainings: content, creation, and distribution of relevant information
      • Provide store intelligence to Metrolina Greenhouses: send critical information to Key Account Manager to direct replenishment decisions, competitive insights/comp shops, product quality, product issues (tags, UPCs, etc.) and provide detailed commentary and photos as eyes for the office staff
      • Detailed communication to Director and Key Account Manager of store status changes: new store openings, stores under construction or impacted for other reasons.
      • Represent Metrolina Greenhouses at customer functions: Grand Openings, Pro events, Special Store Events, and facilitate pro buys
      • Attend team meetings at Metrolina Greenhouses as needed (2-3xs per year)
      • Other duties as assigned

      Minimum Qualifications

      • 0-3 years’ experience
      • College Degree
      • Hold an active Driver's License & maintain a clean driving record
      • Proficient at Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Prior live-goods experience
      • Lowe's Experience
      • Experience in a seasonally driven industry or position

      Job Setting & Physical Demands

      Employees in this position work primarily outdoors but may be required to travel between locations within a large outdoor environment and occasionally work indoors. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. The role has some administrative duties such as filing, and data analysis are required. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, copiers, etc. Fluency in the English language and the ability to see, speak, hear, read, and write are required.

      Must be willing and able to travel up to 50-75% of the time by their own means depending on the home location and supporting facilities. Heavier travel in that range is during peak season with some overnight travel required. Must be able to lift and push up to 35lbs unassisted, and up to 50lbs with assistance. Must be able to walk, squat, twist, bend, reach, climb stairs and/or step stools under 5 feet on occasion.
