      Job Summary

      Working as core part of growing team to advise clients on the private capital markets, their strategy, and the successful execution of transactions. Key responsibilities will be preparing analysis and materials for RBC GIB’s clients globally as well as maintaining GPC infrastructure.

      What will you do?

      • To work directly with senior GPC bankers on transactions across various sectors and geographies – execution and leading project workstreams
      • Assisting in preparation of pitchbooks and marketing materials
      • Facilitating meetings with corporate clients and/or investors with the support of GPC London senior team
      • Creating financial model analyses
      • General research using available data sources
      • Producing and maintaining various GPC databases
      • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
      • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
      • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly. Failure to do so may subject you to disciplinary action, up to and including termination

      What is needed for success?

      • Candidates should have knowledge of key financial concepts and investment banking or private equity processes through their past experiences
      • A basic understanding and deep interest in the private capital sector, key players, strategic dynamics as well as the current issues facing the sector
      • Sound judgment with strong analytical skills
      • Some experience in client facing environments considered an asset
      • Sound judgement, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytical skills
      • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients at all levels
      • Rigorous work ethic and willingness to invest time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately
      • Knowledge of Investment Banking services and the ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs
      • Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
      • Key information source experience: Pitchbook, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ
      • Degree level qualification

      The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000 - $130,000 depending on class year and factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
