      Job Description

      The Government Engagement (GE) team aims to create broad alignment between Visa’s business objectives and public policies that affect the payments industry. Externally, the GE team engages a wide range of stakeholders to raise awareness of and build support for policies that expand access to and usage of digital payments around the world. Internally, GE works closely with colleagues across the company including Global Policy, Products, Business Solutions, Merchant & Acquiring, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Marketing, Communications, Visa University, Social Impact, Risk, Legal, and Compliance.

      The Global Government Engagement Team is seeking a Strategy & Operations Analyst, reporting to the Vice President of Strategy & Operations. The Analyst will support on all global operations and strategic initiatives and will specifically own all reporting and analytics of the function. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with the business and act as a liaison between the other internal functions across the world including Legal and Government Solutions as well as with the Internal Dynamics team at Visa. This role will manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and must demonstrate a flexible mindset and positive attitude and ‘can-do’ approach to the work.

      Responsibilities

      • Partner closely with the Vice President, Global Head of Government Engagement Strategy & Operations, to ensure smooth operations both at the global and regional level.

      • Collaborate with regional counterparts to develop knowledge tools and solutions.

      • Work cross-functionally with Global Visa data teams, including but not limited to: Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA), Visa Economists, and Data for Good, etc.

      • Maintain and enhance management tools to ensure timely and efficient reporting of regulatory developments, including our CRM tool (Dynamics)

      • Collect data and update Global GE scorecard Quarterly. Support regional GE teams with regional dashboards and metrics. Adjust global metrics to meet regional GE team needs.

      • Help run global compliance programs, as well as assist with all internal audit processes, compliance, risk, governance, records management, controllership, etc.

      • Provide project management support for special projects and global resource support for regional teams, as needed.

      • Support on the development, maintenance, and socialization of the GE Narrative (Deck for internal/external use, Talking Points, etc.)

      • Support in the content development of materials and presentations for internal business reviews, management events, and external conferences targeted for internal and external stakeholder engagements.

      • Assist in the planning of internal and external engagements, including but not limited to quarterly Town Halls, and special external events like Davos and APEC, among others

      • Assist in the management of GE contracts and work statements, as needed.

      This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

      Qualifications

      Basic Qualifications
      • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

      Preferred Qualifications
      • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
      • Good judgment, ability to act with discretion and handle sensitive information.
      • Must have great interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
      • Successful candidates should have a proven track record of consistently delivering meticulous work within tight deadlines.
      • Complex analytical abilities
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
      • Highly proficient and advanced in PowerPoint and Excel
      • Dynamics, Tableau, and/or Microsoft BI experience. SQL knowledge a plus
      • Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity.
      • High attention to detail with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it in crisp, clear language appropriate for a variety of audiences.
      • Ability to analyze structured and unstructured datasets and synthesize information to actionable insights.
      • Be an independent thinker with a great eye for detail that has an innovative approach and appreciation of user needs.
      • Global perspective and awareness of market differences and commonalities
      • Ability to work-cross functionally with a broad range of internal and external partners. Manage multiple assignments concurrently, efficiently generating high-quality deliverables.
      • Excellent collaborator with strong interpersonal communication skills

      Additional Information

      Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

      Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

      Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

      U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,400.00 to 142,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
