      We are looking for:

      The Summer Internship Program is an intensive 3 month opportunity where undergraduate chemistry students work within the fast-paced and challenging environment of our Alpharetta, GA R&D facility. The intern will contribute to polymer discovery projects, interacting with and working side-by-side with industry experts. Intern will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects involving the use of analytical instrumentation in a world-class research environment.

      We count on you for:

      • Apply analytical skills and knowledge performing tests characterizing company products
      • Operate lab equipment with minimal supervision
      • Collect data and assist in interpreting results and provide recommendations
      • Communicate progress and results to staff and customers
      • Capture research project in written report(s)
      • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, supporting environmental and safety policies
      • Experience in a research laboratory environment.
      • Experience in HPLC/UPLC, mass spectrometry (e.g. tandem MS and HRMS), ion mobility spectrometry (e.g. TWIMS, drift tube) and sample preparation methodologies.
      • Experience in the characterization of polymeric materials.
      • Interpretation of complex chromatographic data.
      • Instrument skills including instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HPLC/UPLC, tandem MS and HRMS equipment.
      • Advanced computer skills to navigate instruments computer systems, LIMS, MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point), Minitab, ACD Spectrus, etc.
      • Analytical method development and validation.
      • Have a passion for learning and expanding skillset to help achieve team objectives.

      You will bring:

      • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry from an accredited college or university.
      • High school diploma
      • 2 years of chemistry course and lab work, including analytical chemistry coursework (quantitative analysis and instrumental analysis)

      Additional information: Internship period is for Summer 2024 (May-August)
