What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead technical direction for Android development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance
- Drive continuous improvements to the reliability, performance, and UI of Android applications
- Provide input on system architecture and design trade-offs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth feature delivery
- Monitor app performance and triage crashes, bugs, and performance regressions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience with Kotlin, Coroutines, and their surrounding ecosystem
- Experience developing an Android app with video streaming features
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and adaptive layouts for various form-factors
- Familiarity with MVVM, MVI, and/or Clean Architecture
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with ExoPlayer and GraphQL-based APIs
- Experience managing releases on Google and Amazon app stores
- Experience with cross-device interoperability (e.g., casting)
- Experience building multi-modal experiences
