What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in implementing the Animal Health Surveillance Program by monitoring daily animal health
- Ensure compliance with USDA, IACUC, and AAALAC policies and regulations
- Provide first-line basic care, feeding, and husbandry for various species of research animals
- Manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously
- Interact with a diverse range of individuals in a collaborative work environment

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary surgery clinic or laboratory animal setting
- Familiarity with current Federal laws and regulations regarding animal care and use
- Ability to follow through on multiple projects and work assignments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences
- Experience with a variety of species in an AAALAC Accredited Animal Care and Use Program or USDA licensed facility
- Certification as AALAS Laboratory Animal Technician (RLAT)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
