      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer well versed in API technology to join our Chief Development Office


      In this role, you will:

      • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
      • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
      • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
      • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
      • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
      • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership


      Required Qualifications:

      • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
      • 5 + years of hands-on experience with API management and integration products like APIGEE, API Connect, Mulesoft, Kong, 3Scale
      • 3+ years of experience in lead architect role and have experience is large scale integration
      • 3+ years of experience in the API cloud architectural and implementation using Azure or Google
      • 2+ years of hands-on experience in development and solutioning using IBM DataPower and APIGEE
      • 2+ years of experience in message systems like IBM MQ and Kafka and integration experience using DataPower
      • 2+ years of Knowledge on network components like Load balancers, Firewalls and Proxies


      Desired Qualifications:

      • Excellent knowledge on API security and Cryptography with implementation experience
      • Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skill for various audience
      • Experience working in finance domain
      • Experience in handling API production migration


      Job Expectations:

      • API Architecture and solutioning for the enterprise
      • Lead the new initiatives and migration of the DataPower services to APIGEE or another approved platform.
      • Lead automaton and CI/CD effort
      • Working with teams across various regions and zones with availability and flexibility
      • Mentoring and guiding the team for success
      • Handle the escalations and production support as needed
      • This position has an in-office expectation, you are expected to work in a hybrid capacity
      • This position is not available for visa sponsorship or support
