What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review all incoming documents to determine appropriate action required
- Research and respond to internal appeals within regulatory timeframes
- Maintain knowledge of government regulations related to appeals and claims payments
- Draft response letters to members/patients or providers and file all documentation
- Organize work and workflow to meet performance standards and client requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic Knowledge of provider billing preferred
- Minimum one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Direct medical claims experience
- Demonstrated self-motivation, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent research and investigative skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
