What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead application development projects to support compliance with State and Federal regulations
- Direct and check the work of team members, including state employees and contractors
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less senior analysts throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ensure operational effectiveness while adhering to policies and procedures of the State of Michigan
- Support IT development activities necessary for various state systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with at least 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11
- Experience with application programming, computer operations, or information technology
- Knowledge of development platforms as listed in the job description
- Ability to work within Michigan and complete hybrid work schedule requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a Technical Lead
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Background in Power Apps development
- Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
- Experience in writing and presenting technical documentation
