What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and oversee a unit of APS Investigators providing adult protective services
- Direct, instruct, and evaluate the work of subordinate staff while formulating improvement plans
- Assign cases to staff and monitor their resolution and closure
- Review and approve reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with team members to determine appropriate actions in Adult Protective Services cases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of professional case management/investigation experience or 4 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of federal and state statutes related to vulnerable adult maltreatment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with active listening abilities
- Ability to manage and organize staff assignments and workloads effectively
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Gerontology, Healthcare, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- Experience in supervising, mentoring, or as a Standard Work Champion
- Familiarity with case management and social work practices related to aging and elder rights
