What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership for Arbitration Closure Appeals staff, including workload management and performance feedback
- Oversee the investigation and evaluation of closed Federal and State arbitration disputes to ensure accurate determinations
- Analyze closure and appeal data to determine prioritization
- Act as the primary management contact for CMS, IDR entities, and arbitrators on post-closure disputes and related inquiries
- Develop and maintain reporting on post-closure activity, outcomes, trends, and risk indicators to support leadership decision-making
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of related healthcare, arbitration, appeals, or dispute resolution experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous supervisory or lead experience
- Advanced knowledge of Federal and State arbitration processes and CMS guidance
- Prior healthcare experience and/or appeal work
- Advanced knowledge of payor processes and healthcare billing
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and concepts
