      Job Description:

      Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Architecture Design Intern! This position is available from June - August.

      Job Responsibilities:

      This position will work under direct supervision of Design Leader, Design Project Manager, and other team members to do the following tasks:

      • Execute d ocumentation for coordination and construction .

      • Work on projects as a collaborative member of a design team, participating in design charrettes focused on delivering design excellence.

      • Works with the project team to create complete and thorough design documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedule.

      • S olv e problems and resolve technical issues .

      • Assist in code reviews and regulatory /entitlement approval process .

      • Prepar e and edit design presentations and proposals.

      • Participate s in design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings.

      • Performs tasks with a high level of collaboration .

      • Organize and maintain project files, scan, copy, print, and transmit original working drawings of current projects.

      • Open to learning through listening and asking questions of team members and mentor (s) .

      • Establishes and p ursue s annual goals; based on personal, profe ssional and company growth in the industry.

      • Contributes to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs .

      • Actively participates in Ryan Companies’ and Ryan A+E’s 5 - year vision/initiatives and 1 - year business plans and goals

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Pursuing Professional education (Bachelor Master’s degree or Technical degree programs) in Architecture .

      • Able to work 40 hours per week.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Relevant professional or e ducational experience preferred .

      • Strong organizational skills .

      • Submission of portfolio that demonstrates design process and solutions .

      • Hand sketching ability preferred .

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills .

      • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team .

      • K nowledge of various software programs including Revit , Enscape, Blue b eam, Sketch U p , Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite preferred .

      • W illingness to learn various aspects of the design process including; Conceptual Design, Client Presentations, Building Codes, Documentation , Construction Administration, and Constructability

      Eligibility:

      • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

      • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

      Compensation:

      The hourly wage is $20-$25/hour . The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
