      Reporting to National Sales Manager, this position maintains all aspects of product inventory for customers and ensures that it is presented in a way consistent with IDEAL company image. Incumbents will provide outstanding service to IDEAL customers, distributors, and agencies, while enhancing the reputation for quality and excellence through the continuous development of a sound working partnership with our customers, distributors, and agencies.

      Responsibilities

      PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

      • Work in conjunction with National Sales Manager to establish strategies and tactics to grow both revenues and profits through electrical/infrastructure channels.
      • Establish new channel business opportunities and support existing channels.
      • Measure/monitor weekly POS and drive actions that are focused on improvement.
      • Proactively identify changes in the industries and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
      • Meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
      • Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
      • Build new product categories to expand offering.
      • Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.

      Qualifications

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or marketing is preferred. Licensed Electrician (ticketed) is preferred but not required.
      • Minimum 2 years sales/account management experience within the electrical industry, is preferred.
      • Previous experience selling through a distributor model.
      • Creative, innovative, and dynamic leadership qualities necessary to take the company to even higher levels of growth and profitability.
      • Solid analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Effectively communicate to all areas and levels of the business.
      • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
      • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
      • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.
      • Willingness to be involved in industry organizations/committees.

      • Travel requirements for this position could be at times up to 50% or more.
