We are looking to fill a 1st shift position in our Assembly Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Assembly Lead.


      Position Summary:

      The function of the Assembly Lead is to provide the necessary planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control to ensure that the company meets it's production objectives. The purpose of this role is to maintain inspection, repair, and assembly of firearms and other weapon components.


      Job Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Following company policies, plans, and procedures.
      • Execution of company production goals.
      • Adequate control, protection, and use of the assets of the company.
      • Effective leadership and motivation of personnel reporting to this department to ensure maximum overall and individual productivity.
      • Maintaining repairs of products attached to jobs or through RGAs.
      • Breaking bottlenecks in assembly operations by working on benches as required.
      • Ensure all indirect functions are addressed for the Assembly room except for team driven 5S efforts.
      • Reviews HBH information and takes action to ensure rate and quality are achieved.
      • Supports Inventory with Kanban system for proper inventory values.
      • Works as a SME for the evaluation, development, and training of personnel reporting to this department.
      • Ensuring compliance with all applicable government (including Federal, State and Local) laws, statutes, and regulations.
      • Following the LMT safety program and ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies such as OSHA.
      • Ensuring the effective processing of all orders through the Assembly Department to ensure that completion time and performance rates are met.
      • On-going communication with the Assembly Supervisor, Operations Manager, Shift Production Supervisor, and Maintenance to ensure common understanding of immediate issues affecting output.
      • Daily review of production status of jobs and taking corrective action as required.
      • Daily assessment of quality, performance, and schedule completion with execution strategies and action plans to meet targets.
      • Any other duties as assigned by Assembly Supervisor or Operations Manager.

      Education, Experience & Minimum Requirements:

      • Required: High School or GED.
      • Required 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
      • Must be able to work 1st shift (7am-3:15pm).
      • Good written and verbal communication skills.
      • Excellent visual perception to ensure fine detail of quality inspection.
      • Ability to motivate and direct employees, as well as work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company employees.
      • Computer literacy at a level of competence to enable accessing and completing necessary documents and forms.
      • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks according to priority.
      • Ability to learn and interpret production drawings.
      • Must be able to sign and abide by Company’s employee handbook and confidentiality agreement.
      • Required to successfully complete a background check, job physical, and drug screening.
      • Must be able to perform work independently at the expected rate.
