What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical support to major Self-managed and GitLab.com customers
- Build rapport with key customer stakeholders and proactively engage with them
- Collaborate with Product, Development, Infrastructure, Customer Success, and Sales teams to enhance features and resolve bugs
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex support issues using various communication channels
- Participate in the hiring process by reviewing applications and engaging in interviews
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience managing customer-facing cases throughout the support lifecycle
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities for navigating multi-layered technical challenges
- Proactive support mindset that anticipates customer needs and identifies patterns across incidents
- Excellent Linux systems administration knowledge (LFCE or RHCE equivalent)
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to varying technical skill levels
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD implementations
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Ruby or Bash and MVC frameworks such as Ruby on Rails
- Expertise in writing support content
