What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate and prosecute a variety of financial crime cases including wage theft, identity theft, and complex fraud
- Collaborate with senior AGO investigators and law enforcement agencies for case preparation and prosecution
- Handle criminal referrals from Washington's county prosecuting attorneys and the governor
- Travel around the state for court hearings, investigations, and trial preparation as necessary
- Maintain proficiency in prosecuting a full range of criminal cases beyond financial crimes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have graduated from a law school accredited by the ABA or completed the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program
- Minimum of three years of trial experience in criminal law
- Admission to practice law in Washington state courts
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster a collegial and respectful workplace
