      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide legal advice and representation in court for the State of Wisconsin and its agencies
      - Handle civil appeals and complex trial-court litigation involving constitutional law and governmental authority
      - Collaborate professionally within the division and with interdivisional and interdepartmental teams
      - Conduct in-depth research on complex legal questions and draft legal documents
      - Perform administrative functions and duties as assigned

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be a member in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar upon appointment
      - Experience conducting in-depth legal research as a lawyer, judicial law clerk, or law student
      - Proven experience writing judicial decisions, briefs, or legal pleadings as the primary drafter
      - Experience working as part of a team on complex professional projects
      - Must have a valid driver's license for occasional in-state travel

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a clerkship or for a court at the state appellate or federal level
      - Experience serving as counsel in complex litigation in state or federal court
      - Exceptional performance in law school, such as membership in law review or moot court
      - Demonstrated oral advocacy skills in any court or administrative proceeding
