      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Represent and advise the Office of Housing on legal issues related to affordable housing policy
      - Review, draft, and advise on city and state legislation and policy matters
      - Provide strategic legal advice based on thorough research and analysis of legal issues
      - Draft, negotiate, and review complex transaction documents and agreements
      - Identify legal issues and risks while providing transactional and day-to-day legal advice

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Three or more years of experience practicing law or relevant experience in affordable housing
      - Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents
      - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      - Effective legal written and oral communication
      - Membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association or licensure in another state

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Working knowledge of affordable housing finance tools and incentive programs
      - Passion for providing affordable housing in the City of Seattle
      - Relevant government or business experience, such as municipal law practice
      - Understanding of shared equity homeownership models and their intersection with racial equity
      - Ability to think critically and strategically under tight deadlines
