      Description

      We are seeking an Assistant Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager!

      What You'll Do
      • Production and Loss Results for Tuscarora Wayne, Keystone National and Lebanon Valley.
      • Handle an assigned territory, as needed.
      • Support commercial lines Underwriting activities for Tuscarora Wayne, Keystone National and Lebanon Valley
        • Assist in quote and policy approval process
        • Assist in authority line setting
        • Support routine file audits of commercial lines staff
        • Assist in appetite, guideline, and product development efforts
      • Support Planning and Budgeting.
      • Supervise assigned personnel.
      • Assist in the training and development of new personnel and identifying additional developmental needs of existing personnel.
      • Support development and assist in leading underwriting meeting agendas and training
      • Leadership of the unit.

      What We Are Looking For

      The assistant commercial lines underwriting manager position requires a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible commercial lines underwriting experience.

      Ideal candidates will also have the following qualifications:
      • College degree or comparable work experience
      • Strong leadership qualities, including informal supervision of others
      • Comprehension of ISO rates, rules and forms
      • Multi-state underwriting experience and familiarity with statutory regulations
      • Experience in evaluating coverage forms
      • Ability to oversee small projects
      • Familiarity or experience with predictive models in underwriting applications
      • Ability to handle pressure situations
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, etc. are a plus

      This position is being hired with a flexible work location and may be filled at either an intermediate or advanced level, commensurate with experience.
