- Manages the month-end close process with the Head of Finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all business units.
- Oversees the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and internal reporting for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with US GAAP and relevant international accounting standards, maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
- Oversees balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved timely and provides comprehensive support for external audits, including consolidated annual and 401(k) audits
- Identifies and implements process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations..
- Develops, implements, and monitors robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks, and establishes standardized financial processes across all business units for consistency and compliance.
- Ensures that all accounting policies and procedures align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provides training and guidance to business unit controllers on financial analysis, reconciliation, and compliance best practices.
- Conducts financial risk assessments and makes recommendations for improving compliance frameworks.
- Oversees the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and compliance requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Collaborates with offshore shared service teams, establishing performance metrics, training programs, and process efficiencies.
- Participates in Ad hoc projects and Works closely with business unit controllers to enhance financial accuracy and transparency. as directed by the Head of Finance
- Supervises and mentors a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Leads or supports the implementation of a global ERP system to integrate financial data across all business units.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification highly desired.
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
- Minimum of 3+ years overseeing accounting teams and coordinating multi-departmental accounting processes.
- Experience in multi-entity, complex business environments.
- Experience managing shared services and offshore accounting teams is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial systems, ERP implementations (a plus), and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

JOB SUMMARY
As the Assistant Controller you will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements while driving efficiencies in the monthly close process. As the Assistant Controller will partner with business unit controllers and the shared service teams to optimize financial processes, enhance compliance, and implement strategic initiatives.
