  Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Preparation of Departmental Forecasts.
  • Assist in preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure timely completion of all Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation’s.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Daily Sales Report.
  • Assist Director of Accounting with yearly Operating Budgets
  • Ensure confidentiality of all things in accounting, including, but not limited to all payroll and financial information.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting in the formulation and verification of internal controls and policies to comply with requirements.
  • Hire, train, coach, supervise, and direct staff to ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely reporting of financial data to department heads, and owners in accordance with GAAP and USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
  • Review and Post all Journal Entries ensuring that the correct account is being charged.
  • Supervise the hourly staff within the Accounting Department
  • Train, develop and maintain Team Member skills and relations.
  • Conduct Team Members Performance Reviews
  • Prepare and present progressive discipline documentation to the staff as required.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Support other departments whenever possible through direct and indirect support.
  • The ability to work various shifts or days of the week according to business needs.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and restaurants.
  • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Director of Accounting, Sr, Director of Finance or Managing Director.
  • Attend and conduct meetings as required both within the department and with other operating departments.
  • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by upper management or ownership.
  • Attend and conduct meetings as required both within the department and within the property’s organizational structure.
  • Promote and practice Evermore’s culture and establish a positive, inclusive work environment and ensure the resort’s brand is not compromised.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

  Education, Skills, and Experience

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five+ years of hospitality experience, accounting/finance background, knowledge of the uniform system of accounts for the lodging industry.
  • Resort experience, with golf operations experience preferred.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting (Sage Intacct) and payroll software. (UKG)
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite or similar software.
  • Expert knowledge of Accounting and Financial Principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Inspired always to lead Evermore brand and team member values.
  • Capable of performing the role in a busy work environment.
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines.
  • Must stay current with resort operations and accounting trends.

  Physical Requirements

  • Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
