      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Represent the County Government in tax and procurement matters before various administrative agencies and courts
      - Draft and review agreements, legislation, regulations, and other legal documents
      - Conduct negotiations and prepare legal opinions
      - Provide legal advice to County departments on procurement, commercial, grant, tax, and finance matters
      - Collect debts owed to the County

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduation from an accredited university school of law
      - At least one (1) year of post-degree experience as a law clerk or in a similar capacity for the Assistant County Attorney I level
      - Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience as an attorney, including trial experience for the Assistant County Attorney II level
      - Thorough (four (4) years) experience as an attorney for the Assistant County Attorney III level, with specialized experience in local government law or permitting
      - Membership in the Maryland State Bar

      - Experience in the areas of law handled by the Division
      - Demonstrated trial skills and experience
      - Knowledge of local government law
      - Strong organizational skills
      - Ability to manage high-stress situations and interact effectively with individuals in challenging circumstances
