Collaborates with faculty and staff to develop action plans for students.
Connects students to relevant campus resources.
Monitors and tracks student progress.
Maintains communication with faculty and staff in support of students.
Partners with students to develop personalized action plans to achieve academic goals.
Assists students in the development of critical-thinking skills, study skills, time management, note-taking, and test-taking skills to promote positive academic results.
Supports academic intervention programs such as pathways to success, academic progress notifications, midterm grade outreach, and provides individualized outreach to students who are identified at-risk.
Monitors student progress and maintains communication with faculty and staff to champion student success.
Provides guidance to students on academic policies and processes.
Connects students to relevant campus resources, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive.
Supports students, families, and staff on matters related to academic concerns
Designs and delivers engaging programs on study skills, time management, and learning strategies.
Partners with campus partners that oversee unique student group populations, such as Athletics, Bonner Scholars, First-Gen, student organizations, etc., to provide targeted academic support services and event programming.
Oversees the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program, including recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of SI leaders.
Oversees the Peer Academic Coaching program, including recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of Peer Coaches.
Provides crucial guidance to Peer Coaches on student programming, ensuring the success of the program
Hires, trains, and supervises Rhodes Student Employees to work with peer education programs and ALR events.
Partners with academic departments to provide resources for tutor hiring, training, and tracking.
Tracks programmatic data and assesses programs for improvement.
Assists with data management for academic concerns.
Assists with updating and management of the Academic & Learning Resources website.
Serves on campus committees as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Student Development, College Student Personnel, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred.
Three to five years of professional experience in the development and/or delivery of academic support, counseling, or advising programs in higher education is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must exhibit professionalism and diplomacy in working effectively with diverse constituencies.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
