What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise a team of professional academic advisors, including performance management
- Advise a caseload of Elliott School students from orientation through graduation
- Review, assess, implement, instruct, and troubleshoot advising-related software
- Manage office-wide academic advising outreach and projects
- Participate in graduation and commencement planning committees and support senior year programming
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with advising-related software such as Ellucian Banner, Salesforce, and DegreeWorks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion and working with diverse student populations
- Background in or knowledge of the field of International Affairs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Technology, International Affairs, Area or Language Studies, Counseling, or relevant area of study
- 4+ years of college-level academic advising, administration, or teaching experience
- Prior successful experience supervising professional staff
