      Assistant District Manager

      Bronx, Upper Manhattan, New York

      Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000

      General Description

      The Assistant District Manager (ADM) provides overall support to the District Manager within a specified district of Apple Bank’s retail banking network and is primarily responsible for overseeing the district’s daily operations and evaluating the business acumen of the individual branches, while providing line of sight to the District Manager. The incumbent plans and executes upon operational processes and tasks for the branches and provides guidance and coaching to teammates within the district regarding procedural, technical, and operational changes to ensure that a standard of excellence is consistently being met. The ADM supports the District Manager by utilizing sales strategies to ensure revenue growth, as well as leveraging operations experience to streamline processes. This position also relies on existing resources and systems of record for the track.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Act as an ambassador/liaison for the District Manager.
      • Conduct branch onsite mini reviews on a monthly basis and twice per month for higher risk branches.
      • Create branch operational remediation action plans based on findings from mini-reviews, DOS Assessments, and formal audits; monitor and organize the most common district issues identified and conduct routine branch staff testing to ensure branches are in compliance.
      • Provide overall sales and service support to the District Manager.
      • Support District Manager by providing insight on market data to assist in business development and provide updates to the Branch Managers and District Manager that may result in overall deposit growth.
      • Act as point of contact for wire approvals & CD rate negotiations.
      • Help ensure district is providing exceptional customer service by strict adherence to the Bank’s Service Standards.
      • Assist in resolution of customer complaints.
      • Work with Branch Managers to identify potential market area community events and support sales team in all initiatives.
      • Conduct weekly meetings with branch management and shares best practices and also addresses any changes to sales strategies and/or operational policies/procedures (including review of new retail essential communications).
      • Schedule weekly touchpoint meetings with HR Talent Acquisition Specialist on district staff vacancies and pending approved hiring requisitions.
      • Assist District Manager in career coaching and development of employees to meet performance expectations.
      • Work closely with District Manager and branch staff to identify, as well as ensure the development of future leaders in the District.
      • Spot check branch next day new account reviews, including wires transfers, to verify the strict adherence to policies and proper procedures.
      • Support Branch Managers with branch merchandising/facilities issues/branch appearance.
      • Perform other duties as requested by District Manager.

      Skills, Education and Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or a minimum of 5+ years of retail banking managerial experience.
      • Must exhibit strong leadership skills, collaboration, flexibility, influence, innovation, creativity, integrity, and passion.
      • Results oriented and possesses strong business and operational acumen, with the ability to drive sales and operational excellence.
      • Ability to present in staff meetings, as well facilitate and communicate effectively.

      • Ability to travel to branch locations within the assigned district.
