What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide legal counsel on marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Advise on privacy policies and monitor relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement strategies for corporate and AI governance within the organization
- Draft, edit, and negotiate complex contracts with various stakeholders in the cybersecurity domain
- Communicate legal risks and support business partners in closing transactions and resolving disputes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a top-tier law firm or technology company
- Active membership in a state bar in good standing, with eligibility for in-house counsel registration in New York
- Significant experience in corporate governance, privacy, marketing, and government contracting
- Strong drafting skills for various commercial agreements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- In-house legal experience, particularly with cross-functional teams
- Background in the technology industry, especially cybersecurity
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, nonprofit, and export laws and regulations
- Certification as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)
- Experience with contract management software
