- Operational Leadership:
- Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations.
- Ensure seamless coordination between departments to uphold the resort’s commitment to luxury and guest satisfaction.
- Step in as acting General Manager in their absence, making critical decisions to maintain service standards.
- Guest Experience:
- Manage guest feedback and satisfaction metrics through Revinate, ensure department managers are addressing concerns promptly to enhance the overall experience.
- Ensure the resort’s unique offerings—such as oceanfront accommodations, poolside dining at Yellowfin Bar & Kitchen, and watersport activities—are executed to exceed guest expectations.
- Maintain the laid-back yet luxurious vibe of Stock Island that defines Oceans Edge.
- Staff Management:
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members to align with the resort’s high service standards.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture, emphasizing teamwork and employee satisfaction.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship to department managers.
- Financial Oversight:
- Assist in budget preparation, cost control, P&L preparation and revenue management to meet financial goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, average daily rate (ADR), Costs per occupied rooms and guest spending to optimize profitability.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and revenue growth.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and labor laws.
- Implement and enforce policies to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Sales and Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote the resort, including special events, packages, and partnerships. Attend and or conduct site inspections, local community gatherings and client events to help support and promote Oceans Edge
- Assist in developing strategies to attract leisure travelers, marina guests, and group bookings.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and professional interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and interact with guests, and multi departmental managers.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Previous operational experience required, such as front office, F&B, reservations or housekeeping.
- Strong financial acumen with required experience in budgeting, forecasting, strong P&L knowledge and revenue management.
- Prior owner relations experience required, as position will have routine contact with property ownership and management company.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., POS, PMS and purchasing systems) as well as Microsoft Office.
- Oversee and support the property accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, and house bank audits.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with the sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies to continually improve occupancy levels and revenues.
- Full-time position with a schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and evenings, reflecting the 24/7 nature of resort operations.
- Familiarity with Key West’s tourism market and the Florida Keys’ unique hospitality landscape.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury resort setting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a competitive spirit and team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with all department managers and other EOS Hotels.
- Must possess strategic thought process on ways to drive revenues and manage costs in all operating areas.
