- Manage the work, involvement and expectations of the UITP North America Committee and Platform (studies, reports, position papers, articles)
- Develop the research and content gathering knowledge from our local members/partners
- Analyse the public transport market in the region and identify leads for membership and business development.
- Manage the production of regular communications including electronic newsletters, bulletins, letters, brochures and use of social media.
- Organise and execute of various activities such as training, conferences, research projects, seminars, workshops, study tours and technical visits including operations and logistics.
- Provide administrative support to the head of region for the day-to-day smooth functioning of UITP North America RO.
- Assist in developing institutional relations with partner organizations and international donors in the region to explore funding opportunities for research and other activities that would bring value to members.
- Represent UITP at North America related events - in the USA or Canada or outside when needed - as participant or speaker. Represent UITP in the region and is responsible for all relevant contacts when relevant.
- Collaborate with other regional offices, committees, and UITP HQ on developing and implementing the global work plan. Engage with members
- Promote the participation of North America members in UITP events, working bodies, and projects. Regularly update UITP database and efficient use of digital tools like CRM - Efficy, OneNote, Monday.com and others.
- Support on the day-to-day administrative and financial management of the offices, including compliance and internal procedures.
- Support head of the region by defining, developing and implementation of the business plan for the region and targets.
- Fulfils his/her responsibilities and interacts with UITP staff according to the UITP corporate values.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public transportation sector
- Experience in research and project management - Able to develop content and communicate on it
- Fluency in English, Knowledge of French will be added advantage
- Proficiency of the technical content
- Project management skills
- Writing proficiency/abilities, Communication techniques
MAIN DUTIES
The Manager supports the head of the regional office in various aspects such as the day-to-day administrative, technical, financial support of the offices and projects.
The person will be responsible of the definition and execution of the activities in the region and the contribution of this office to UITP global activities.
He/she develops and provides services to members in the region, in particular he/she organizes events and trainings and supports research activities in the public transport field.
