      Responsibilities

      The Assistant Manager of Supply Chain, Perioperative Services, will support the Operations Manager of Supply Chain in overseeing the daily supply chain and logistics operations within the hospital's perioperative service areas.

      Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager, Supply Chain, Perioperative Services:

      - Track and analyze supply chain data to optimize operations and improve customer service in perioperative areas.
      - Support the organization and maintenance of bin locations in assigned areas, ensuring efficient workflow and supervising associates.
      - Deliver exceptional service and hospitality to customers while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in alignment with organizational values.
      - Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality and hospital procedures.
      - Provide orientation and training for new staff, providing an environment of continuous learning and development.
      - Maintain a defined work schedule with regular and prompt attendance, including overtime as needed, to meet operational demands.
      - Oversee effective use of resources to ensure optimal performance in perioperative supply chain operations.
      - Assume 24-hour accountability for perioperative supply chain functions and promptly report any issues.
      - Assist Operations Manager in planning, directing, and scheduling workflow within the perioperative areas to maintain operational efficiency.
      - Assist Operations Manager in budget planning and resource utilization, including initiating orders and managing departmental costs.
      - Monitor and adjust inventory levels, reorder points, and economic order quantities for perioperative and consignment supplies to ensure optimal stock levels.
      - Supervise staff to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery and charging of supply requests in assigned areas.
      - Enforce hospital policies and procedures, implementing internal departmental standards and driving process improvements.
      - Identify opportunities for standardization and efficiency improvements and implement them to enhance service delivery.
      - Cultivate positive relationships with staff, physicians, visitors, and the healthcare team to foster collaboration and effective communication.
      - Respond to overhead pages and coordinate staffing and managerial expectations during emergencies or natural disasters.
      - Maintain accurate, up-to-date records related to inventory, equipment, and supply chain activities, ensuring data integrity and effective problem-solving.
      - Promote a cooperative and team-oriented environment, actively helping others to improve team performance and meet departmental goals.
      - Ensure completion of all mandatory training and hospital requirements, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
      - Apply cost-effective practices to all job responsibilities, driving operational efficiency and maintaining quality service standards.

      - Regular and prompt attendance

      - Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.

      - Related duties as required.


      Qualifications

      Bachelors in nursing, business, or related field and two years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Directly related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Perioperative service experience highly perferred.
