      Job summary

      Assistant Practice Manager (Mitcham) - Part-time and permanent

      • A starting salary between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time hours).
      • Minimum 20 hours per week, maximum 30 hours working days and timings to be agreed.
      • Four weeks annual leave, plus the bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time working)
      • A six-month probationary period
      • Enhanced sick pay after probation
      • Eligibility to join the NHS pension scheme

      We seek an Assistant Practice Manager to join our highly supportive and skilled team, on a permanent, part-time basis to work closely with Business Manager and the Partners.

      We are very open to applications from candidates of all backgrounds, who can offer strong leadership skills. This role is based on-site; there is no working from home offering for this post.

      Main duties of the job

      You can expect a very busy but varied day, supporting the Business Manager in delivering the smooth day-to-day operations of the Practice. Key aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:

      • Support the Business Manager in shaping and improving team dynamics.
      • Assist in providing effective line management, supervision and training of non-clinical staff.
      • Assist with interview arrangements, onboarding, compliance with mandatory training and exiting staff.
      • Trouble shoot day-to-day IT issues, liaising with local IT support services as required.
      • Manage all IT requirements for new starters, leavers, contractors and locums.
      • Assist with complaint handling.
      • Carry out routine premises and health & safety checks.
      • Assist with QOF (Quality and Outcomes).
      • Act in a way that promotes the rights of patients, in line with our policies & procedures and current legislation.
      • Work effectively with individuals in other agencies to meet patient needs.
      • Manage your own workload, time and resources effectively.

      Cricket Green Medical Practice is a forward-thinking, well established GP surgery in Mitcham, South-West London. We provide care for a patient population of close to 12,000, working alongside a multi-skilled team of 40 clinical and administrative staff, supported by four GP partners.
