The Women’s Research and Resource Center, which houses the College’s Women’s Studies Program, invites applications to fill a tenure-track appointment, beginning August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a concentration in Black Sexualities/Queer Studies. The first historically Black college to offer an undergraduate degree in Comparative Women’s Studies, the curriculum is unique in its focus on women of African descent and Black feminist thought as well as women’s activism studies.The Center has a broad mission related to women’s issues and advocacy. Candidates with teaching and research commitments that address the intersectionality of sexuality with race, class, gender, religion, and nationality are highly desirable. Candidates will teach introductory Women’s Studies courses, and upper-division courses in queer theory. All courses will be taught in person. The ideal candidate will have an interest in grant writing, as well as the potential for successful research, publication, and service in a liberal arts institution.About the company
