- Upper second class honours degree in psychology, or other higher degree in psychology, or equivalent undergraduate qualification.
- Masters level training in relevant Psychological or Mental Health area.
- Post-graduate training in relevant mental-health / psychological / recovery discipline.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Psychologist to join the HPFT Community Child and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) for the South Hertfordshire team, based at Borehamwood Civic Office and/or Watford Peace Centre.
This role is part of an established community team within the HPFT Specialist Division, focusing on the assessment and treatment of children and young people with mental health challenges. The CYPMHS team provides specialist assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for young people in the community and offers long-term support in collaboration with children, young people, and their families.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the service database, entering data, generating reports on service targets, and conducting audits and evaluations in accordance with national guidelines for monitoring service delivery and clinical progress, all under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. They will also play a role in supporting the treatment of children and young people, following psychological therapy guidelines and supervision.
Regular clinical supervision will be provided. Applicants should have a recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology and be eligible for Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society. Experience delivering group-based interventions or working with adolescents with complex mental health needs is desirable.

The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary quadrant CAMHS team assisting in the provision of a high-quality service to CYP and their carers experiencing mental health difficulties and Social Care difficulties.The role requires skills in assessing, planning, organizing, reviewing and assisting in delivering CYPIAPT informed processes and evidence-based interventions to support the recovery of service users as agreed with supervising clinician(s). This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards. The post holder will utilize their skills and knowledge to assist in ensuring CYP-IAPT processes are in place including outcomes measure use, undertaking assessments(where appropriate), identifying desired outcomes and where appropriate carrying outintervention. To gain wider experience of professional psychology within the NHS Any other duties commensurate with the grade which may be required to enable effective and efficient running of the service.All staff should comply with the Trusts Anti-Discriminatory Statement, Employee Charter, Trust Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and Equality and diversity.
