      Are you a psychology graduate who has experience and interest in working with children and young people who have mental health or emotional well being difficulties.We will have a vacancy for a full time, band 4 assistant psychologist in Canterbury CYPMHS. The team has a high level of expertise encompassing many clinical disciplines, family therapist, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, social workers and nurses. This creates a wide learning environment for the successful applicant. This is a varied role which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to participate in clinical and audit roles.

      Main duties of the job

      Driven by CYIAPT (Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and the THRIVE model of care, the service provides the latest in evidence based NICE compliant psychological interventions to children, young people and their families experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.

      Structure of NELFT's CYPMHSThere are: Children's Single Point of Access (CSPA), nine Locality Teams,a Crisis Teams, a specialist Eating Disorders Team and Learning Disability Team .       About us

      Starting with NELFT

      NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
