      The project:

      Mace and Jacobs have partnered to form a consortium that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related PMC and programme management services for the Ellinikon development. In its role as the client's real estate delivery partners on this programme, Mace/Jacobs JV are providing consultancy from programme/PMC as well as cost and commercial management, to design and construction management.

      You’ll be responsible for:

      • Supporting the Commercial Manager and Package Leads for processing, assessing, and certifying payments for subcontractors, including review of Contractors submitted documentation.
      • Monitoring and recording commitments vs budget (via payment certificates registration) to the Project’s Cost Platform.
      • Owning and management of all Project commercial logs (payment, variations, changes, instructions, Trends).
      • Assisting the Commercial Manager with cashflow preparation and outturn forecast (EAC).
      • Assisting with procurement strategies and contract selection, support in the writing and undertaking procurement reports.
      • Providing support with final accounts.
      • Supporting handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
      • Acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
      • Acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.

      You’ll need to have:

      • Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
      • Cost planning, budgeting and estimating experience.
      • Some knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration.
      • Some Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing.
      • Good understanding of industry best practice.
      • Understanding of hot topic issues such as Sustainability, Social Value, Carbon Reduction impacting Public Sector.

      You’ll also have:

      • A degree in quantity surveying/cost management is preferable but not essential.
      • Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS. (Not Essential).
