      Position Summary

      Under direction, is responsible for the registration and enrollment services of various educational programs

      Job Responsibilities

      • Coordinates the enrollment of students into academic programs. Creates the academic calendar and course catalogue; conducts the course registration and coordinates clinical clerkships, electives and assignment of Advisers to third-year medical students.
      • Serves as the Secretary of the Committee on Promotions and Graduations.
      • Coordinates the certification of Physician Assistant students for the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) board examinations.
      • Assists with the process by which students apply for residency.
      • Coordinates Match Day in collaboration with the Events Office.
      • Maintains electronic and hard copy documents with student demographic, change of status, attendance and academic progress information.
      • Monitors student progress/need for remediation and clearance for graduation. Enrolls, tracks, audits and reports information necessary to certify academic progress toward a degree.
      • Receives, records and secures documentation for final course grades and students performance evaluations. Coordinates the preparation, accuracy and dissemination of transcripts.
      • Coordinates diplomas for graduation and certifications for meeting institutional graduation requirements.
      • Responsible for PhD - For Admission-to-Candidacy and Final PhD exams, prepares and issues complete examination packets to faculty examiners; publicly announces examinations.
      • Coordinates the enrollment and registration of international students. Generates I-20s, visa letters, OPTs, CPTs, etc. Provides guidance and assistance to international students on immigration matters. Monitors students' immigration status on SEVIS.
      • Ensures that adequate resources are available for the administration of National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) exams. Coordinates the ordering and scheduling of these exams. Oversees the dissemination of scores.

      Education

      • Bachelor's Degree in related field

    Experience

    Approximately 3-5 years of related experience

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
