      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct audits primarily in Benton, Columbia, Franklin, and Walla Walla Counties, ensuring accountability and transparency
      - Collaborate with team members to plan and execute audits under supervision
      - Provide mentoring and guidance to in-training level staff as a journey-level auditor
      - Engage with audit clients to promote clear communication and mutual respect
      - Participate in special investigations related to citizen concerns or fraud

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three college-level accounting courses or equivalent experience
      - Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounting/auditing for Assistant State Auditor 1
      - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting/auditing for Assistant State Auditor 2
      - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting/auditing for Assistant State Auditor 3
      - Understanding of accounting concepts and principles as they relate to auditing

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Government audit experience is preferred
      - Experience in financial investigations or related fields
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills
      - Proven time/project management abilities
      - Capacity for critical thinking and problem-solving in a team environment
